The Georgia Blueberry Producers Association achieved significant success at Fruit Attraction in Madrid. During the event, the association established important connections with European Union and United Kingdom markets. Specifically, new relationships were formed with buyers from Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland. Additionally, new opportunities emerged in post-harvest management and quality control directions.

Particularly significant was the meeting between GBGA and the President of the International Blueberry Organization (IBO), where they discussed future collaboration plans. The meeting highlighted that the global blueberry industry's focus has shifted from quantity to quality, with consumer demand moving towards larger, crunchier, and tastier blueberries. Importantly, GBGA will join IBO by the end of the year, which will put Georgia on the global map of blueberry-producing countries.

Significant steps were also taken towards the Asian market. High interest was shown for direct exports to supermarket chains in India, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Cooperation prospects also emerged with Vietnam, South Korea, China, and Israel.

These achievements represent a new stage for Georgia's blueberry industry. The enormous potential and responsibility in the sector create an opportunity for Georgia to establish its place in the global agricultural sector and showcase its unique, high-quality products in the international market.
